Cookie Policy

Qatar Supercars keeps cookies to the minimum needed to run the site. We don’t use advertising, tracking or analytics cookies, and nobody tracks you across other websites from here — which is also why you won’t see a cookie-consent banner: there’s nothing invasive to ask your permission for.

What we use

  • qsc_session (essential) — keeps you signed in and protects every form on the site from cross-site attacks (CSRF). Deleted automatically when you close your browser, or the moment you sign out.
  • lang (preference) — remembers whether you last chose Arabic or English, so we don’t have to guess from your browser every visit. Kept for one year.

On your device, but not a cookie

Qatar Supercars can be installed as an app (a PWA). To make that work, and to make the site feel fast, your browser stores a small amount of data directly on your device — this is local storage and a page cache, not a cookie, and it never leaves your device or gets sent to us:

  • A cache of pages and images you’ve already viewed, so they still open if you lose signal.
  • Two tiny preferences: whether you’ve been shown the “Add to Home Screen” prompt, and whether you dismissed it.

You can clear any of this at any time from your browser’s site settings.

What we don’t use

  • No advertising cookies. Qatar Supercars does carry paid Featured placements and ads (see Advertise & Feature), but none of them use tracking cookies or follow you around the web — they count views and clicks only on this site.
  • No third-party analytics cookies. Our page-view analytics are first-party and cookie-free: each visit is counted using a one-way scrambled code made from your IP address and browser, regenerated every day, so no cookie — and no history of you — exists. See our Privacy Policy for detail.
  • No social-media tracking pixels. Sharing a post to WhatsApp or Instagram happens entirely through your device’s own share menu; we don’t embed Meta, X or TikTok tracking scripts.

Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies at any time from your browser’s settings. Blocking the qsc_session cookie will sign you out and may stop forms (like posting a car or commenting) from submitting until it’s allowed again.
